The Globalping MCP connector routes your AI agent's tool calls to Globalping's own MCP server through Scalekit. Each user signs in to Globalping once, and Scalekit stores and refreshes their tokens, so your agent never handles credentials. It comes with 12 tools.

Setup
Install the SDK
Terminal window npm install @scalekit-sdk/node dotenvTerminal window pip install scalekit-sdk-python python-dotenvSet your credentials
Add your Scalekit credentials to your
.envfile. Find values in app.scalekit.com > Developers > API Credentials..env SCALEKIT_ENVIRONMENT_URL=<your-environment-url>SCALEKIT_CLIENT_ID=<your-client-id>SCALEKIT_CLIENT_SECRET=<your-client-secret>Create the Globalping MCP connection
In AgentKit > Connections, create a Globalping MCP connection. The name you give it is the
connection_nameyour code passes. See Configure connections.Scalekit credentials are available for Globalping MCP server, so you don't need to register an OAuth app.

globalpingmcp_dnsResolve DNS records (A, AAAA, MX, etc.) for a domain from global locations.Read-onlyDns
Resolve DNS records (A, AAAA, MX, etc.) for a domain from global locations. Use this tool to verify DNS propagation, troubleshoot resolution failures, or check if users in different regions are seeing the correct records. Note: Only public endpoints are supported.
Inputs
targetstringrequired- Public domain name to resolve (e.g., 'google.com'). Private domains, localhost, and link-local addresses are not supported.
limitnumber- Number of probes to use (default: 3, max: 100). Higher limits provide more diverse results when using 'world' location.
locationsstring- Specific locations to run the test from using the Globalping magic field syntax. Use 'world' to select a diverse set of probes globally. It supports Globalping magic field syntax: ['US', 'Europe', 'AS13335', 'London+UK', 'Amazon+Germany', 'Greece']. You can also use a previous measurement ID to compare results with the same probes.
queryTypestring- DNS record type (default: A)one of
AAAAAANYCNAMEDNSKEYDSHTTPSMXNSNSECPTRRRSIGSOATXTSRVSVCB resolverstring- Custom resolver to use (e.g., '1.1.1.1', '8.8.8.8')
traceboolean- Trace delegation path from root servers (default: false)
globalpingmcp_get_more_toolsCheck for additional Globalping tools whenever your task might benefit from specialized capabilities — even if existing tools could work as a fallback.Read-onlyGetMoreTools
Check for additional Globalping tools whenever your task might benefit from specialized capabilities — even if existing tools could work as a fallback.
Inputs
contextstringrequired- A description of your goal and what kind of tool would help accomplish it.
globalpingmcp_getmeasurementRetrieve the full details of a past measurement using its ID.Read-onlyGetMeasurement
Retrieve the full details of a past measurement using its ID. Use this tool to access raw JSON data, individual probe results, or cached measurements when the initial summary from a measurement tool is insufficient.
Inputs
idstringrequired- The ID of a previously run measurement (e.g., '01HT4DGF5ZS7B2M93QP5ZTS3DN')
globalpingmcp_helpGet a comprehensive guide to the Globalping MCP server.Read-onlyHelp
Get a comprehensive guide to the Globalping MCP server. Use this tool to learn about available tools, understand location formatting (magic fields), or see example usage patterns.
Inputs
This tool takes no inputs.
globalpingmcp_httpSend HTTP/HTTPS requests (GET, HEAD, or OPTIONS) to a URL from global locations.Read-onlyHttp
Send HTTP/HTTPS requests (GET, HEAD, or OPTIONS) to a URL from global locations. Use this tool to check website uptime, verify response status codes, analyze timing (TTFB, download), and debug CDN or caching issues. Note: Only public endpoints are supported. Private networks cannot be tested.
Inputs
targetstringrequired- Public domain name or IP address to test (e.g., 'example.com'). Private IPs (RFC1918), localhost, and link-local addresses are not supported.
limitnumber- Number of probes to use (default: 3, max: 100). Higher limits provide more diverse results when using 'world' location.

portnumber- Port number (default: 443 for HTTPS, 80 for HTTP)
protocolstring- Protocol to use (default: HTTPS)one of
HTTPHTTPS querystring- Query string (e.g., 'param=value&another=123')
globalpingmcp_limitsCheck current API rate limits and remaining credits for the Globalping account.Read-onlyLimits
Check current API rate limits and remaining credits for the Globalping account. Use this tool to monitor your usage quota and verify if you can perform additional measurements.
Inputs
This tool takes no inputs.
globalpingmcp_locationsRetrieve the list of available Globalping probe locations.Read-onlyLocations
Retrieve the list of available Globalping probe locations. Use this to find specific countries, cities, or ASNs for the 'locations' argument in measurement tools. Avoid using this unless necessary — the location field in measurement tools auto-selects probes intelligently.
Inputs
This tool takes no inputs.
globalpingmcp_mtrRun an MTR (My Traceroute) diagnostic, which combines Ping and Traceroute.Read-onlyMtr
